Teemu Kupiainen, born 1959, studied at the Musikhochschule in Köln and the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Rainer Moog, Peter Schidlof, Norbert Brainin and Sándor Végh.

As a chamber musician, he has performed in 28 countries, in
more than a thousand concerts.

Kupiainen teaches viola and chamber music at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.

Kupiainen has also traveled the world as a street musician performing music by Johann Sebastian Bach.
